Summer 2012 - Local & National Support for Animal Welfare Charities

Here are some local and national animal welfare charity events Neuaura supported this summer by donating shoes for auctions and raffles:

Cupcake Fest - Rutherford, NJ - Cupcakefest benefited the John A. Bukowski Shelter for Animals in Bloomfield, NJ and the NJSPCA.  All donations to the NTNN Animal Support Fund go directly to the medical care for the Bloomfield Shelter's animals.

Best Friends Animal Society - Mission Hills, CA - we donated a pair of shoes for a silent auction.

Best Friends' No More Homeless Pets campaign created a new vision: A grassroots effort to place dogs and cats who were considered "unadoptable" into good homes, and to reduce the number of unwanted pets through effective spay and neuter programs.  Since then, the number of dogs and cats being destroyed in shelters has fallen to approximately 5 million a year.  There has been much progress, but there is still much more to do.

peta2.com  - Los Angeles, CA - we partnered with peta2.com to run a contest with their young subscribers.  We had 5 winners.  Here are images of 2 of the winners wearing Neuaura Lily style.

Peta2 is an animal rights group that takes on anyone who abuses animals. From schools that don’t allow the choice not to dissect to fashion designers who won’t drop fur to fast-food giants that refuse to treat their animals right—if cruelty to animals is taking place, you can bet peta2 will be on it.

Maria Gonzalez - Ontario, CA
Autumn Rossi - Lawrenceville, GA
Liberty Humane Society - Jersey City, NJ - This is a shelter we volunteer at each week.  We donated 3 prs of shoes for a raffle and one lucky winner from Jersey City, NJ won them all.

Liberty Humane Society is the only non-profit animal shelter in Hudson County, providing animal sheltering services to the cities of Jersey City and Hoboken, as well as animal control/rescue to Hoboken, Jersey City and Union City.  They take in over 5,000 animals per year and believe that every pet deserves a second chance at finding a lifelong, loving home.  With the help of our 800+ active volunteers, they welcome over 10,000 unique visitors per year through our tiny facility.  In addition to being a destination for homeless animals, Liberty Humane also hosts a low-cost Wellness Clinic which provides affordable veterinary care to resident pets in the surrounding community.
